"The Rule of Thirds", adalah bagaimana kita meletakkan sebuah obyek utama didalam frame foto yang kita ambil.
Rule of thirds dapat diartikan “Apabila memungkinkan, letakkan obyek utama foto Anda pada sepertiga jarak dari tepi ‘frame foto’ Anda. Terserah apakah itu 1/3 dari frame sebelah kiri, atas, bawah, kanan maupun kombinasi diantara keduanya (1/3 dari pojok kanan atas)”.
